Hilton Garden Inn South Padre Island Beachfront

We had a great stay here, everything was perfect. The room and hotel itself was super clean. Having a balcony with a view of the bay was amazing for sunsets. The on-site restaurant was pretty good for dinner and portions were huge. The breakfast was decent and having Starbucks on site was a major plus. Gift shop and snacks were well stocked with everything you could want or need. Loved the beach access and the pool is huge. Our dog loved the pet area as well and she especially loved the beach! Thank you Hilton Garden Inn!

This is one of the nicest Hilton Garden in properties I've stayed at. I was greeted by Juan and Rebecca at the front desk and they were so polite and helpful. Totally understanding because Southwest Airlines had lost our luggage in the flight to Harlingen. This place is amazing it's like a small Resort hidden in South Padre the outside pool and the outside bar area is stunning. Right on the beach overlooking the waves of the ocean. Jerry the bartender at the downstairs bar right by the ocean was super polite and a great conversationalist. For the money this is one of the best properties I've stayed at in South Padre!

Absolutely amazing hotel. Very big, pet friendly & great breakfast. Huge pool and areas for relaxing and the beach is directly behind the hotel.

Highly recommended!!! Beautiful hotel inside and outside. The food was great. Beautiful boardwalk to the beach. The staff was excellent, helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was awesome. I loved the omelette station. The prices in restaurant is very reasonable and very good. They have daily specials. The rooms were clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The only issue we encountered was low water pressure.

This property is not your typical Hilton, they don’t let Hilton Silver or above upgrade. And they seem to have a scam like thing for upgrading. We checked in and are staying for a solid week and they gave us a room by the elevator. We asked to move and it was 40 per night upgrade. We happen to talk to another couple and they indicated a similar experience. It was new years week they had a lot folks the just stayed the night. Other issues, the free breakfast buffet ends at 10AM. No other options and 9-10 food runs out and they have a hard time keeping up. You can order an omelette or breakfast taco made to order but it is competitive. There might be 20 people waiting for an omelette. We only had it the first day. Josephine’s rocks go there, better food and service. They will give you waters that Hilton members get for free but you have to ask. Overall it is a good location on a good part of the beach. Hospitality and Service is only in the room cleaning staff during the day. The other folks will listen but don’t seem to actually want to fix an issue.

We decided to take a spontaneous trip to South Padre Island, and even though it was the off-season in November, the weather was still warm and perfect. This Hilton Garden Inn honestly exceeded my expectations—it’s one of the best I’ve stayed at. The property was spotless with beautifully maintained grounds, a large pool, and surprisingly spacious rooms. The staff was professional, friendly, and really attentive. And let me just say… hotel restaurants usually miss the mark, but Barry’s Bistro Bar & Grill was AMAZING. I ended up ordering the Cajun pasta twice because it was that good—full of flavor and perfectly seasoned. I was so impressed with the entire experience that I’m already planning to come back in the summer.

While this hotel and the rooms are older, the staff is excellent and the beach access is fantastic. The hotel’s section of beach was not crowded compared to the beach to the south of us. We came in mid February and it was a nice mix of families and winter Texans. Would stay here again.

It was a wonderful stay there. We visited last year during thanksgiving. Very friendly front desk associate. Rooms were clean, need to work on bathrooms. Our room was on back side so there was not ocean view. Swimming pool was clean and huge one. They had hot jacuzzi as well. Kitchen staff was very friendly, they made our 17 omelette in clean pan, they washed it before use on our request. Location was awesome and it was on beach front. Breakfast was very delightful and they cleaned tables right away. We had 17 people and used tables outside cafe. I will recommend this hotel.
